Finding SPSPS

SPSPS holds its meetings at the St Petersburg Yacht Club and classes at the Sailing Center.

Directions to the St. Petersburg Yacht Club

11 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, Florida

Phone: 727-822-3873.

  • Driving north or south on U.S. 19, turn east on Central Avenue, continue to the stop sign at Beach Drive. The parking garage entrance (guest/valet) is immediately to the left after the Beach Drive stop sign.
  • Driving south on U.S. 92 (4th Street), turn left on Central Avenue, continue to stop sign at Beach Drive. Parking garage entrance (guest/valet) is immediately to the left after the Beach Drive stop sign.
  • Driving south on I-275 (from north of St. Petersburg), turn left on I-375 (exit #23A, The Pier exit) and continue east to Beach Drive. Turn right on Beach Drive, left on Central Avenue. The parking garage (guest/valet) is immediately to the right.
  • Driving north on I-275 (from St. Pete Beach), turn right at I-175 (exit #22, Tropicana Field exit) and continue to Bayshore Drive. Turn left on Central Avenue. The parking garage (guest/valet) is immediately to the right.
  • From Tampa International Airport (TIA), exit the airport following the signs to St. Petersburg. Continuing south on I-275 turn left on I-375 (exit #23A, The Pier exit) and continue east to Beach Drive. Turn right on Beach Drive, left on Central Avenue. The parking garage (guest/valet) is immediately to the right.

Directions to the Sailing Center

250 2nd Avenue South, St. Petersburg, Florida

The Sailing Center is located at the Eastern end of 1st Avenue South, on Demens Landing, about 1/2 block from the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. (See Map above.) Some parking is available at the Sailing Center; overflow parking is permitted only in areas marked "A" at the Municipal Marina.

  • Driving north or south on U.S. 19, turn east on 1st Avenue South, continue to the stop sign at Bayshore Drive. Cross Bayshore Drive and go across the small Demens Landing Bridge. The Sailing Center is the first building on your right.
  • Driving south on U.S. 92 (4th Street), turn left on 1st Avenue South, continue to the stop sign at Bayshore Drive. Cross Bayshore Drive and go across the small Demens Landing Bridge. The Sailing Center is the first building on your right.
  • Driving south on I-275 (from north of St. Petersburg), turn left on I-375 (exit #23A, The Pier exit) and continue east to Beach Drive. Turn right on Beach Drive, left on 1st Avenue South, continue to the stop sign at Bayshore Drive. Cross Bayshore Drive and go across the small Demens Landing Bridge.
